9 Year Old NH Inventor Makes Apple Picking Safe Fun Easy

Bedford, NH (PRWEB) November 11, 2011

No more ladders, climbing trees, dangerous reaching or bruised fruit. You can now pick any apple that you want and it is deposited gently at your feet.

Quinn Hutchins of Bedford, NH has taken his invention to market. Quinn has started his own company and with the help of his grandfather and they are marketing his invention.

Late last fall Quinn came into the house and said Pa Jack come see my new invention. He had set up a 6 step ladder next to one of the apple trees. He then took a 10 long cardboard core from a recently purchased rug, taped a plastic bag to one end and leaned the open end upon the step ladder. What apple do you want Pa Jack? Once the apple was spotted he pushed the open end of the core up under the apple and 5 seconds later it was in the bag unblemished.

"Quinns Fruit Shoot" has evolved to a collapsible pole that allows you pick most any type of fruit. Orchard owners love it because there is less damage to the trees and it speeds up picking. Kids love it because they can pick out the hard to reach fruit, point it out to dad and in a matter of seconds it is gently deposited at their feet. Apples are never out of reach, even for older people.

No more frustration of not getting that prized apple. "Quinns Fruit Shoot" lets you capture them all. Apple picking is now a fun adventure for the entire family, young and old. Visit his website, http://www.quinnsfruitshoot.com, to learn more about Quinn and his fruit picking invention.

Ant & Sons Face Off: Is Apple (AAPL) Going Higher?

(PRWEB) December 24, 2004

Shares of the Cupertino, Calif., company have soared this year, climbing from a low of $ 21.18 in early January to a high for the year of $ 69.57 late last month. In the past 60 days alone, the shares have gained nearly 70 percent.

Yes: First Albany's Joel Wagonfeld increased his estimates for the company and increased his price target to $ 72 from $ 61 previously. Wagonfeld said his increases reflected higher assumptions for both iPods and Apple's Mac computers -- particularly its G5 iMac models. He claimed that, “Although expectations are clearly very high at this point, we believe the stock could advance further." Apple will post 2005 earnings of $ 1.57 per share on sales of $ 12.3 billion, according to Wagonfeld's revised estimates. Previously, he estimated earnings of $ 1.37 a share on sales of $ 10.8 billion. The First Albany analyst said he also expects one more round of upward revisions of consensus estimates.

Yes: Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster raised his 12-month price target to $ 100 from $ 52, citing a survey conducted by his firm showing that Apple's popular iPod digital music players are helping boost sales of its signature Macintosh computers. "We believe that the remarkable satisfaction with the iPod creates a word-of-mouth wildfire that generates new customer interest in Apple products," he wrote. In a note to clients, Munster wrote that a Piper Jaffray survey of 200 iPod users in the United States found that 6 percent were formerly PC users who had bought a Macintosh computer after their purchase of an iPod.
